Basing the core values on individual care, innovation and simplified treatment plans Dr Hausken and his team have made the clinic a \u2018safe haven\u2019 for couples seeking IVF treatment.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Klinikk Hausken Doctors<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>KH\u2019s practice is led by Medical Director and founder Dr Jon Hausken. He completed his MD in 1989 specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology in 1995. From then on he has worked as both Head of the IVF and Birthing Unit at Haugesund Hospital until he left to start Klinikk Hausken in 2006, in doing so carrying on his father\u2019s legacy as an innovator within the field of IVF. Dr Hausken is also the Director of the Nordic Fertility Society (NFS) and the national society (NOFAB).<\/p>\n<p>Dr Arne Schwennicke joined the KH team of doctors in 2008 after two years as Head of the IVF unit at Haugesund Hospital. He specialised in gynaecology and obstetrics between 2000 and 2006 after completing his MD in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we are so happy to welcome our two new colleagues to the KH team, Dr Holst-Larsen and Dr Grete Dale Godtlibsen, both IVF experts with years of experience in the field. Dr Holst-Larsen completed his MD in 1998\u00a0and has since worked as both Head of the IVF\u00a0and birthing units in Stavanger and Haugesund Hospital. He joined the KH team in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Godtlibsen completed her MD in 2002 and\u00a0has since worked at NHS equivalent hospitals in Bergen, Stavanger and Haugesund specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology. She joined the Stavanger branch in 2015.<br \/>So to summarise there is no doubt our patients are in good hands whilst receiving treatment at Klinikk Hausken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meet The Klinikk Hausken Team<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although KH is the largest private IVF clinic in Norway we are small compared to any UK clinic. That\u2019s why our clients feel they have been seen and heard after receiving treatment at the clinic.<\/p>\n<p>All our clients will be given a named nurse who will be a couple\u2019s point of call throughout the treatment process.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, our clients get direct access to their doctor to make sure they feel safe during treatment. Our international contact is also at hand if our clients have any queries or concerns regarding travel arrangements, appointments etc. At every turn the KH team is there to ensure you receive the individualised care KH is all about.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Embryology And Innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Klinikk Hausken has always been the pioneers in adopting cutting-edge technologies within IVF. We maintain our focus on innovative treatments and technologies designed to maximise success rates for our couples. With innovation as the keyword, Klinikk Hausken in 2010 began implementing the revolutionary EmbryoScope\u00ae Time-Lapse imaging technology.<\/p>\n<p>We were the first clinic in Norway, as well as one of the pioneers in Europe, to successfully implement this novel concept.<\/p>\n<p>Upon receiving its EmbryoScope, Klinikk\u00a0Hausken, led by IVF Laboratory Director\u00a0Shabana Sayed, began a series of in-house\u00a0trials to confirm its safety and efficacy. This\u00a0resulted in an algorithm which has allowed us\u00a0to achieve a relative increase in live birth rates\u00a0per embryo transferred by a remarkable 24%. It\u00a0uses, in addition to the traditional morphology, deselection parameters and kinetic behaviour of\u00a0embryos to select the most viable embryo.<\/p>\n<p>The benefits of this technology has resulted\u00a0in Klinikk Hausken implementing the use of\u00a0EmbryoScope in all of our clinics and, more\u00a0importantly, has meant we can provide this\u00a0revolutionary technology to all couples without\u00a0any additional cost.<\/p>\n<p>We strongly believe that time is of the essence when trying to achieve a pregnancy. This is one of the reasons why we use EmbryoGlue as the standard embryo transferring media for all our couples, irrespective of it being their first, second, third, fourth or fifth attempt.<\/p>\n<p>To enhance the implantation of the most viable embryo in the uterus, EmbryoGlue has been used in all our couples from 2010. This transferring solution acts as an adhesive assisting in successful implantation and, subsequently, a healthy pregnancy. Our team is ready to help the chosen couple on their road to parenthood through the use of IVF treatment. Medical Director Dr Jon Hausken and his dedicated team will guide the selected couple throughout their treatment cycle.<\/p>\n<p>The clinic will cover all costs in connection with the IVF treatment as well as all travel expenses and accommodation. If donor sperm is needed Klinikk Hausken will also cover these expenses. In the event of surplus embryos, the clinic will cryopreserve these at no extra cost. And if the couple needs to use the cryopreserved embryos due to a negative result on the fresh cycle, Klinikk Hausken are similarly prepared to cover any cost connected to this cycle.<\/p>\n<p>The outline above also includes travel and accommodation expenses. If the couple gives birth on the fresh cycle they are free to use the cryopreserved embryos for sibling treatment at their own expense.
