Although Klinikk Hausken is the largest private IVF clinic in Norway, this is not just based on the number of clients but also on birth success rates, we are small compared to any UK clinic. With a strong legacy connected to IVF and over 20 years\u2019 experience, Dr Jon Hausken founded Klinikk Hausken in 2006. Dr Hausken had a strong view on how the clinic should be run basing the core values on individual care, innovation and simplified treatment plans. Dr Hausken and his team have made the clinic a \u201csafe haven\u201d for couples seeking IVF treatment.<\/p>\n

MEET OUR DOCTORS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Klinikk Hausken\u2019s practice is led by Medical Director and Founder Dr Jon Hausken. He completed his MD in 1989 specialising in obstetrics and gynecology in 1995. Since then he has worked as both Head of the IVF and Birthing unit at Haugesund Hospital (NHS equiv.) until he left to start Klinikk Hausken in 2006. In doing so he carried his father\u2019s legacy as an innovator within the field of IVF. Dr Hausken is also the Director of the Nordic Fertility Society (NFS) as well as the National Society (NOFAB).<\/p>\n

Dr Arne Schwennicke joined the Klinikk Hausken team of doctors in 2008 after 2 years as Head of the IVF unit at Haugesund Hospital. He specialised in gynaecology and obstetrics between 2000-2006 after completing his MD in 2001.<\/p>\n

We are also so happy to welcome our two new colleagues to the KH team, Dr Holst-Larsen and Dr Grete Dale Godtlibsen, both IVF experts with years of experience within the IVF field.<\/p>\n

Dr Holst-Larsen completed his MD in 1998 and has since worked as both Head of the IVF and Birthing unit in Stavanger and Haugesund Hospital (NHS equiv.) He joined the Klinikk Hausken team in 2014.<\/p>\n

Dr Godtlibsen completed her MD in 2002 and has since worked at NHS equivalent hospitals in Bergen, Stavanger and Haugesund specializing in obstetrics and gynaecology. She joined the Stavanger branch in 2015<\/p>\n

With the wealth of experience, our doctors bring there is no doubt our patients are in good hands whilst receiving treatment at Klinikk Hausken.<\/p>\n

OUR TEAM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Although Klinikk Hausken is the largest private IVF clinic in Norway we are small compared to any UK clinic. That\u2019s why our clients feel they have been seen and heard after receiving treatment at the clinic.<\/p>\n

All our clients will be given a named nurse who will be their point of call throughout the treatment process. In addition, our clients get direct access to their doctor to make sure they feel safe during treatment. Our international contact is also at hand if our clients have any queries or concerns regarding travel arrangements, appointments etc.<\/p>\n

At every turn the KH team is there to ensure you receive the individualized care KH is all about.<\/p>\n

EMBRYOLOGY AND INNOVATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Klinikk Hausken has always been the pioneers in adopting cutting edge technologies within IVF. We maintain our focus on innovative treatments and technologies designed to maximise success rates for our couples. innovation is the key word.<\/p>\n

In 2010 Klinikk Hausken began implementing the revolutionary EmbryoScope \u00ae Time-Lapse imaging technology. We were the first clinic in Norway, as well as one of the pioneers in Europe, to successfully implement this novel concept. Upon receiving its EmbryoScope\u00ae, Klinikk Hausken led by IVF Laboratory Director, Shabana Sayed, began a series of inhouse trials to confirm its safety and efficacy.<\/p>\n

This resulted in an algorithm which allowed us to achieve a relative increase in live birth rates per embryo transferred by a remarkable 24%. In addition to the traditional morphology, it uses de-selection parameters and kinetic behaviour of embryos to select the most viable embryo. After evaluating the benefits of this technology Klinikk Hausken have implemented the use of EmbryoScope\u00ae in all our clinics and more importantly providing this revolutionary technology to all couples without any additional cost.<\/p>\n

We strongly believe that time is of the essence when trying to achieve a pregnancy. This is one of the reasons why we use EmbryoGlue as the standard embryo transferring media for all our couples, irrespective of it being their first or their third attempt.<\/p>\n

To enhance the implantation of the most viable embryo in the uterus, EmbryoGlue has been used in all our couples from 2010. This transferring media acts as an adhesive assisting in successful implantation and subsequently a healthy pregnancy. This again reinforces Klinikk Hausken\u2019s approach of providing optimal care to all our couples at no extra costs.<\/p>\n

OUR CLIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most of our Norwegian clients have already been through a few rounds of fertility treatments by the time they consider treatment at our clinic. Our UK clients have usually had at least one NHS funded attempt or other privately funded treatment.
\nKlinikk Hausken specialises in \u201cdifficult\u201d cases.<\/p>\n

We leave no stone is left unturned to optimise every step of the client’s treatment process. We pride ourselves on listening to our patients as the answers often lie with the patient and not in the test results alone.<\/p>\n

WHATS ON OFFER<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Klinikk Hausken<\/a> is really excited to once again join the Fertility Journey. Our team is ready to help the chosen couple on their road to parenthood through the use of IVF treatment. Medical Director Dr Jon Hausken and his dedicated team will guide the selected couple throughout their treatment cycle.<\/p>\n

The clinic will cover all costs in connection with the IVF treatment as well as all travel expenses and accommodation.<\/p>\n

If donor sperm is needed Klinikk Hausken will also cover these expenses. In the event of surplus embryos, the clinic will cryopreserve these at no extra cost. If the couple needs to use the cryopreserved embryos due to a negative result on the fresh cycle Klinikk Hausken are prepared to cover any cost connected to with this cycle. Again, this includes travel and accommodation expenses. If the couple gives birth on the fresh cycle they are free to use the cryopreserved embryos for sibling treatment at their own expense.<\/p>\n

The embryos will be cryopreserved for 5 years according to Norwegian Law.<\/p>\n

Terms and Conditions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

In return, the Fertility Journeys Project patients agree to share their story through videos and interviews made by the IVF SpainKlinikk Hausken team and Fertility Road.<\/p>\n

We strongly believe that this helps raise awareness of fertility problems and outlining the positive outcomes.<\/p>\n
