Dr Tina Snebang-Storgaard, the medical director of Freya Fertility, is an experienced specialist in gynecology and obstetrics who has worked at leading fertility centers across Denmark. Her background includes positions at the fertility clinic in Horsens Regional Hospital, the university hospital in Odense, and a private clinic in Århus, prior to founding Freya Fertility in 2020.

She is deeply dedicated to tailoring treatments to each patient, firmly believing in an individualized approach for every woman and couple. Dr Snebang-Storgaard conducts all IVF scans personally and is present at the clinic daily, ensuring patients receive consistent, personalized care throughout their fertility journey.

At Freya Fertility, the staff, including the doctor, speak both English and Danish. The clinic secretary and one embryologist also speak German. Patients receive personalized support, and communication is easy through email and translation tools when needed. The clinic responds quickly and offers emergency help by email during the entire treatment process.

Recipients are paired with egg donors based on phenotypic traits such as height, weight, eye color, hair color, and the choice between an open or anonymous donor. The clinic also provides personalized matching for individual women and couples. Most egg donors come from Danish ethnic backgrounds and have a Caucasian appearance. All sperm donor ethnicities can be accessed through partner sperm banks.

As stated earlier, there is no waiting list for treatments using one’s own eggs at Freya Fertility. Fresh donor egg cycles usually have a waiting period of 1-2 months, depending on the specific characteristics requested. Donor eggs are fresh, fertilized, and vitrified around days 5-6, with frozen embryo transfer being standard, though fresh embryo transfer can be done if synchronized with the recipient’s cycle. Blastocyst transfer is routinely used to maximize treatment success.

Freya Fertility’s Baby or Money‑Back Program is priced at €17,504 and includes three fresh IVF cycles along with all related frozen blastocyst transfers. The program guarantees a live birth and offers a full 100% refund if no live birth is achieved after the included cycles. It provides patients with financial confidence and peace of mind, helping them focus entirely on their fertility journey.

IVF Treatment Costs at Freya Fertility

Freya Fertility provides a range of fertility treatments with a clear pricing structure for each option. Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and Artificial Insemination with Donor (AID) are both available at a cost of €475.

For patients undergoing In Vitro Fertilization, IVF with own eggs is priced at €3,392. Egg Donation IVF is available for €6,920, while a more comprehensive package including up to three embryo transfers is priced at €11,262.

Other available services include Egg Freezing at €3,257 and the ROPA procedure for female same-sex couples at €5,360. Regarding Sperm Donation, costs are set according to the sperm bank’s pricing and are covered by the patient.

IVF Add-ons and Other Costs at Freya Fertility

Beyond the primary treatment cycles, Freya Fertility provides detailed pricing for consultations, laboratory procedures, and storage. An initial medical consultation is available for €136, which is deductible from the total treatment price if the patient proceeds with a procedure.

Several advanced laboratory services are included at no additional cost to ensure optimal embryo development, specifically Embryo Monitoring (such as the Embryoscope) and Blastocyst culture. Regarding cryopreservation, sperm freezing is priced at €407. For embryos, freezing and storage are included for the 1st year, after which a fee of €407/year applies.

For patients requiring a Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET), the cost is €1,330. In cases where donor sperm is used, the price is determined by the specific sperm bank’s pricing and is covered by the patient.

IVF Success Rates at Freya Fertility

Freya Fertility performed 425 IVF/ICSI cycles in 2024, which included both fresh and frozen procedures. Out of these, there were 200 fresh cycles and 225 frozen cycles, all involving the patient’s own eggs. Additionally, the clinic completed 23 egg donation cycles during the same period.

The clinical pregnancy success rate for egg donation per embryo transfer was 65.2% in 2024, with 78.3% of transfers yielding a positive hCG result. All donor egg treatments utilized fresh eggs, which are usually fertilized and vitrified on days 5 or 6, leading to frozen embryo transfers. However, fresh embryo transfers can be accommodated when synchronized with the recipient’s cycle.

For IVF using a patient’s own eggs, clinical pregnancy success rates per embryo transfer in 2024 were as follows:

Typically, Freya Fertility prefers day 5 (blastocyst) transfers, but transfers may also occur on days 2 or 3 based on individual patient evaluation and fertility history. In 2024, the clinic maintained a single embryo transfer rate of 92.16%, with an average of 1.078 embryos transferred per cycle, and a multiple birth rate of 7.74%.

Freya Fertility Clinic Location

Freya Fertility is located in Herning, in Denmark’s central Jutland region, within a dedicated building that is wheelchair accessible and offers free parking. The clinic is easily reached from Billund Airport (about 50 minutes away) and Aarhus Airport (around 1 hour and 30 minutes by car) and is conveniently close to local highways.

While airport transfers are not provided, car rentals are available at both airports. The staff supports international patients with travel arrangements and can provide recommendations for hotels with which Freya Fertility has special pricing arrangements to ensure a smooth visit.
